The Lucero Canyon Ranch is a rugged remote recreational mountain property with spring fed running water which may not be active during dry times or might be seasonal. Small canyons ponderosa and pinon pine trees skirted with oak brush and also alligator juniper among the granite rock outcropping. The north end has a burn scar from the Peppin fire and is more open than the south end. Surrounded by the Lincoln National Forest and situated in Unit 37 with unlimited elk permits. Wildlife in the area include elk mule deer bear mountain lion and turkey. Elevation ranges from approx 6700 to 7000 ft. This is the sportsman s outdoor mountain retreat.
