About John Olivero
A question I often get is how or why I became involved in the real estate industry. This is my answer. Back in 1990 I was in the market to purchase my first home. As a first time home buyer I didn't even know what I didn't know about buying a home. Let???s face it, buying or selling real estate is more likely than not going to be the biggest financial decision we make in our lives. Pretty scary stuff. So during the process, I read everything I could about buying a home. What to look out for, how will I know when I find the right home for me, how do I negotiate, what is a mortgage, how much will it cost, how much could I afford, home inspections, attorneys, insurances and so on. I learned a good deal. I especially learned what I didn't know about buying a home. That's when it hit me. I thought that most, if not all, first time home buyers probably feel the same way I did. So I thought, if I could be to first time home buyers, what I wish I had when I was a first time home buyer, an educator, consultant and advocate, I could make a little niche for myself in the real estate market. So that's how it began for me. Since then I have experienced the highs and the lows of the real estate market. I have been fortunate to have helped hundreds of families with their real estate needs, in good times and in bad. All of which, along with my continued education in this field, has increased my knowledge in the market. It also gives me greater value to bring to my clients, whom are a privilege to serve. While I now sometimes find myself helping the children, of those who purchased their first home with my assistance, buy a home of their own or helping those who purchased their home with my assistance, sell their properties to purchase larger or smaller ones, I still get my biggest sense of joy when I know I made a big difference in the lives of my first time home buyer clients. So there you have it in a nut shell. That's my story and I'm sticking with it:) Seriously, if you're thinking of making a move, please, give me a call or drop me an e-mail. I'm confident you'll be glad you did. I'll guarantee it. Thanks for listening.
